Thirty specific answers about the system, safety and how we work.
Cablecam
What exactly is a cablecam?
A camera suspended from a line tensioned between two anchors, which moves along it in a controlled way. It follows a fixed, repeatable path, can pass over the audience and works indoors, where a drone can't fly.
What does the line run on?
On high-tenacity polyester rope, not steel cable. A 10 mm running line with a breaking load of 2,100 kg and an 8 mm safety line rated at 1,270 kg, always installed.
What is the maximum span?
250 metres between anchors with the secured system. The working tension is 250 kg, rising to 350 kg on long spans.
How fast does it go?
From 10 cm/s up to 40 km/h, with acceleration controlled by the operator.
How heavy a camera can it carry?
Up to 4 kg of payload. The dolly weighs 9.5 kg ready to run and takes a maximum of 19 kg on the line.
Does it need power at the anchors?
No. It's self-powered with two onboard DJI TB50 batteries.
Can it be rigged indoors?
Yes. Sports halls, theatres, covered squares and arenas are part of our usual work.
What incline can it take?
Up to 30°, allowing descending rigs from the stands to the stage.
Live production
What does live production include?
Camera plan, full crew, OB van or video rack, intercom, fibre and the feed delivered in whatever format the screens, streaming or broadcast require.
Which cameras do you use?
Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 with CCU for live production and Sony FX3 with DJI transmission for lightweight positions.
How many cameras are needed?
A medium-sized stage can be covered with 4-6 positions; a big main stage needs 8 to 12, plus cablecam and drone.
Can you provide screens and streaming at the same time?
Yes, with independent outputs and different treatment for each destination.
Do you work with the artist's rider?
Yes. We read it, check it against what the venue allows and propose the configuration that meets it without inflating the budget.
Booking and quotes
How much does it cost?
It depends on the span, the number of days, the camera configuration and whether live production is included. We prepare a quote broken down by dates and items.
How long does a quote take?
Less than 24 working hours from when we have the venue, dates and scope.
Do you do site visits?
Yes, and we always recommend one when the venue is new to us or the installation is complex. The visit produces the report we hand to the technical management.
Do you work for other production companies?
Yes. We hire out the system with operator to production companies that already have their own live production, and we also supply operators only.
Who invoices?
ASNUTEC S.L.U., VAT ESB90064916, owner of the Linecam® trademark.
Safety and documentation
What documentation do you give the venue?
A report with the proposed anchor points, span, loads, slinging method and the line's path, before rigging.
Is the system certified?
Yes, with the system's own certification issued by ASNUTEC S.L.U. as manufacturer and signed by our technical manager.
Why two ropes?
Because a single one isn't a safe system. The 8 mm safety line is installed on every job, without exception, even if the span is short.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Always. Spare camera, transmission and line on board. A festival can't be repeated.
Coverage
Where do you work?
Throughout Spain, including the Canary and Balearic Islands. Bases in Seville, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, with regular work in Málaga and Albacete.
Do you charge for travel?
Crew and equipment travel is quoted separately and detailed in the proposal, with no surprises.
Do you work outside Spain?
Occasionally, yes, after studying the transport and the country's requirements beforehand.
Shall we talk about your event?
Tell us the venue, the dates and what you want to achieve. We'll prepare a technical and financial proposal with no obligation.
